What is a Heinz Bet?

What is a Heinz bet and how to use the Heinz betting calculator provided.

Heinz bets are very popular in sports such as football, formula one, and even horse racing. However, Heinz bets contain no single bets. Instead, when placing a Heinz bet, you are actually placing 57 bets on a total of six different selections. These selections are 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-fold accumulators, 6 five-fold accumulators, and 1 six-fold accumulator.

With there being a total of fifty-seven total bets, this, therefore, means that for every £1 bet, this equates to £57. It’s important to bear this in mind, especially when betting on each-way bets. With an each-way bet, this would, therefore, be a total of £114 for a Heinz bet, covering six different selections.

What is commonly misunderstood with a Heinz bet is how exactly it is to be won. Many people seem to think that all six selections are required to win the bet. However, you actually only need to win one of these six selections. For example, you may win one of the 15 doubles or the 20 trebles. As well as this, If you win more than one selection, you will receive a bigger pay-out.

How to Calculate Winnings

Use our Heinz Bet Calculator to work out your winnings.

Why should you consider betting each-way?

You should consider betting each-way to spread your stake across different competitors in an individual sport – meaning your bet can finish in the top three or even further back and still be in the contending to win a chunk of money from the bet.

Each-way bets are popular among sports such as horse racing and occasionally football. A Heinz bet paired with an each-way bet allows you to cover the greater ground with more competitors and selections, a must-have if you’re looking to make big money.

How to use the Heinz betting calculator

With there being a total of fifty-seven bets, this can be rather difficult to work out your total winnings and profit by hand. Instead, this is where the Heinz bet calculator comes in, which we have provided.

To use the calculator, simply enter your chosen stake, your odds format (you have a choice of either a fraction, decimals, or American odds), if your bet is an each-way bet, and finally, if the rule of 4 applies to your bet.

Once you have entered these into the calculator, you will now need to enter the odds for the six different selections provided by the bookmaker. These are entered based on the odds format in which you selected previously. We recommend choosing the same odds format provided by your bookmaker, this will speed the process up without you having to convert the odds to another format yourself.

To summarise

A Heniz bet consists of a total of fifty-seven bets over six different selections. With there being so many individual bets and selections, it is more challenging to win. However, that does not go to say that it is impossible.

We suggest starting small and betting on sports which you are familiar with, working your way up the big numbers and even bigger sporting events.
